The transformation of industry is an important key to achieving climate neutrality. It is also important to fully exploit the potential of gender and diversity. The event connects people from the RTI sector and companies in the manufacturing industry, highlights career opportunities and promotes the integration of diversity and equal treatment into the corporate culture.

The event is part of the Austrian accompanying activities of the Equality Initiative (Equality in Energy Transitions) by the Federal Ministry for Climate Action together with the Austrian Energy Agency and the Climate and Energy Fund.

Description of Contents

The transformation of industry is an important key to achieving climate and energy targets, and research and innovation are the engine to accelerate this development. At the same time, it is becoming increasingly clear that the potential of gender and diversity must be exploited even better in order to find sustainable and future-proof solutions.

  • Opening lecture by Prof.in Marie-Therese Claes, Head of the Institute for Gender and Diversity in Organizations at WU Vienna
  • Flashlights on successful transformation projects in industry under female leadership that show innovative ways to achieve climate neutrality.
  • Panel discussion on the topic of “How diversity drives innovation and corporate success” with board members and gender and diversity officers from various industrial companies. The discussion will shed light on how effective diversity strategies promote innovation.
  • Interactive themed cafés with discussions that offer space for personal exchange and networking.

The event aims to connect people from the research, technology and innovation sectors and companies in the manufacturing industry, highlight career opportunities and promote the integration of diversity and equal treatment into corporate culture.
