Why advancing Women in Energy is so important

The energy sector is the place to be at the moment. We are orchestrating a transition to a clean energy system that will help us decarbonise the whole economy and underpin a change in the way we drive, how we heat our homes and how we manufacture things. If that wasn’t enough, renewables are driving the creation of a more affordable and secure alternative to a fossil fuels-based system. This will touch all parts of the economy and society, which is why everyone needs to be a part of the journey. Women need to be partners in driving the growth of this sector, ensuring that we are able to deliver a just transition to a renewables-based system.
